School Climate and Culture
The COMPASS School Climate and Culture Team is dedicated to promoting collaboration, equity, and inclusivity. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging for everyone through partnership with district leaders to create safe and supportive school environments where both students and staff can thrive.
Our Vision: All students, families, and staff feel safe, seen, supported, welcomed, and celebrated in order to reach their fullest potential.

Meet Our School Climate and Culture Lead

Cristin Craig is BrightWorks' School Climate & Culture Lead.
Audience: Building-level and/or District-level climate and culture leaders (2-3 members required).
This series will support leaders in examining alternatives to exclusionary discipline. Participants will gain an understanding of how to build welcoming school environments and structure of belonging, as well as develop skills to implement instructional, restorative, and reflective responses to employ supportive discipline practices.
Dates and Times
Synchronous meetings will take place on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 pm on the following dates: 1/6/2026, 1/20/2026, 2/3/2026, 2/17/2026, 3/3/2026, and 3/17/2026.

Cristin Craig, Ed.S., School Climate and Culture Lead, is an educational innovator, transformational leader, and inspired anti-racist community builder. Having served as a special education teacher and school administrator for nearly 20 years, she now uses her experience and passions in her role as COMPASS Regional School Culture and Climate Lead at Brightworks.
Though her background is vast, Ms. Craig’s dedication to her EBD students in under-resourced communities fuels her expertise in creating inclusive educational environments that strategically care for all of their students by centering those who are most minoritized. Ms. Craig uses research-based applications to empower school and district leaders to use their natural strengths to nurture belonging for all students in their communities.
